Sport North East has partnered with Sport4All to give community sport clubs and schools the support and skills to include people with disability when, where, and how they choose.

Sport4All is a multi-award-winning program dedicated to enhancing inclusivity in sports by working with and supporting local sporting clubs, schools, and communities to embrace diversity and create opportunities for people with disability.

Our Inclusion Coach works with community sports clubs and schools provide them with the tools needed to build the curiosity, skills and confidence to include people with disability. The trailblazing program was brought to life through a collaboration between the Australian Government, the Australian Sports Commission, and former Australian of the Year, Dylan Alcott AO’s consultancy, Get Skilled Access. As a Disability-Owned Business Enterprise (DOBE), Sport4All’s inclusive sports program sees people with disability and people with lived experience of disability help manage the program and further promote sport inclusion in Australia.

What are the benefits?

  • People with disability get the same physical, mental, and social benefits from participating in sport and physical activity as those without disability. Sport4All equips your school or sporting club with the skills and information to ensure people with disability can take part in both playing and non-playing roles in sport.
  • Whether playing or participating in the game or being a coach, volunteer, equipment manager or even a spectator, all roles are important roles in sports clubs and schools. Your sports club or school can also benefit from including people with disability, as they share their lived experience to help you better develop a more inclusive sports program.
