Thanks to Victoria Walks, Disability Sport and Recreation and Regional Sport Victoria, Sport North East was involved in the Walking and Rolling Together Project.
This project, supported by the Victorian Government, aims to provide people living with a mobility disability greater access to walking in Victoria’s natural environments and opportunities to share in the many benefits to health and wellbeing.
Local persons with a disability along with their carers, kindly volunteered their time to audit some of the walking paths in our local region for accessibility. We thank them all for their vital contribution to this project.
These maps provide people with a mobility disability (or carers) with information to confidently embark on a walk.
Local accessible walks:
Ovens River Walk, Wangaratta
Belvoir Lake, Wodonga
Ovens River Mosaic Trail Walk, Myrtleford
